I really miss Hellmanns mayonnaise (food tastes better when you put it all together with the world's great mayonaisse, yes food loves hellmans so bring out the hellmans bring out the best! - i'm that obsessed, i know the jingle!)
Where can I buy it? Kadewe? or maybe something similar..but i've tried various mayonnaises (including Thomy and Miracle Whip..and all tasted awful)
I want a baked potato with mayonnaise!
yum!

Disgusting!
However, I would start at KaDeWa. I didn't look specifically for Hellmans while there, but they had a huge selection.

the Real Markt near where I live carries it in limited quantities (small jar). You might check there.
Better look for Best Foods mayonnaise. Its the same stuff as Hellmanns but rebranded for west coast US.
I've seen Best Foods mayo at Kadewe but expensive. Haven't seen it anywhere else.

Wal Mart closed in Germany several years ago. The stores were purchased by Real.

Dunno if you have Edeka in Berlin, but the Edeka I go to in Munich sells Hellman's mayonnaise. Its part of their small selection of American/British-style food.

They didn't have it at KaDeWe...
they stocked Hellmans Sandwich Relish which looked like what i wanted but had some strange looking herbs in it and it was also imported from the USA so i think it would taste different to what i wanted.. also 7.00euro for the jar.. ouch!

I had someone bring a big jar back from Poland. Apparently its very cheap but you need to drive an hour to the border and at the current price of gas that jar will cost you hundreds (joking of course)

OMG I KNOW! I had a baked potato with mayo on it once by accident and the experience was so horrible I was turned of mayonaise for 5 years.

It probably wasn't Hellmann's that's why..
i just found a jar today in Broken English in
Kreuzberg. The jar cost 4.60 but it is so worth it. its so versatile! you can dip chicken in it, mix it with tuna, baked potato

, sandwiches.. basically it was such a staple in my life, i didn't know how to deal with certain foods when i came to germany! how embarrassing!!
