I'm interested in this from a photographer's perspective. I've been learning some of the basics but perhaps this will get me to try more things. I've got CS3 but on my desktop only. Where's the next meeting?? Thursday night is a NO for me if it's this week - German team plays in Euro 2008 !

Anyone feeling noble enough to do me a favour? I need to use the EXTRACT tool to cut out an image from a grey background. Easy enough in theory but I'm not getting a professional finish - pretty much 'cos I just don't use Photoshop enough.
Anyone fancy having a crack for me - it's not a technically tricky one - just I am being a numptie:
http://www.androv-medical.de/images/Androv_Wax.jpgBeer or whatever when I am next out. Don't think it quite qualifies as a "job".
Ta very much.

Hey ..Im new to TT...dont really know anyone here...but im not new to PS!
As
jwadleigh up, i use it for photography...There is nothing more relaxing then pixel correction!! But a beer or two with u guys might come as close as photoshopping, so maybe i should give u a chance to drag me away from the wide screen monitor and give my brain some real life;).
Can I join, can I can I can I *sad dog eyes*

I'm not sure if I'll be travelling on Thursday. But if not, I'd love to be there!

Big hands up to Donr for having a crack at this (sorry I missed the reply earlier) and also to Iain who sent me a layered PSD file which is perfect. I really need to get up to skills on Photoshop, but then I also need to learn to play drums, speak fluent German and mow the lawn today :-)
Much appreciated and grab me for a beer whenever I am out of course, plus I will send both you guys one of these units when on sale in about 2 months. They are wax bath units for softer skin!!

I'd be very keen to join in, but I know nothing about PS, so if an absolute beginner is welcome, then I'm in!
I also know of a cool cafe on Barerstrasse that has free Wifi. It's just next to the Apple dealer 'Sales Point'.
If that sounds ok, let me know and I'll go by there to see if they can accommodate. Not sure if they have beer though!

It is weird going through all these messages. I feel as if I am eavesdropping!!!
Had to laugh at the video posted in message #6.
I wouldn't mind going to your meetings, but the 300km distance is rather a put off.
Have fun
