This is just a short note to say that I want to cancel my membership of Toytown. BadDoggie and I couldn't get along, he couldn't deal with someone who confronted his aggressive, abusive behaviour. I don't give a shit, just cancel it.
You leave because of one person? Who's the winner there?
Your stay was short (less than a month). Take care out there. PES

I actually thought it was a textbook
flounce, though a bit on the short side. 5/10.
I really just loooooove it when people feel the need to announce that they want their membership 'cancelled' rather than just leaving. Why can people not just leave? And what kind of person gets so upset at an Internet forum anyway?

Wasn't nice. Blood and guts all over the place.
Rags being lost all over the place.
Haven't seen anything remotely like this since the famous lunchtime riot in the Barony schoolyard in 1965.
Sad, sad, sad.
As a flounce it's pretty poor. Far too coherent and not the slightest hint of hysterical ramblings. No obscure references to "some people" and "you know who you are" and absolutely no cryptic comments for us to speculate on and gossip about in your temporary absence. Overall, just too readable and concise. Must try harder: C+
As mentioned above, sorry to see you go. There's people who you won't get on with on every forum that you post on. It's the way of the Internet. The art is to just ignore them.

Ok, I was told by Editor Bob that I should post my reasons for leaving on Metachat, so that is why there is public announcement here. Like I just said in a PM to someone offering their comiserations, I am leaving because I cannot be bothered to debate with an insecure little fool like BD who resorts to abuse when he's running out of arguments, not because I am worried about him suing me, of course the name BadDoggie is held in such high regard, unlike his real name I suspect, (I'm talking about him suing me for defamation of the name 'BadDoggie') lol!
I've got better things to do.
So, once again, bye!

What gets me is the flouncee's compulsion and motivation to annouce the flounce, including announcing the reason. Why don't people just go without the sorrowful goodbyes? I highly doubt if the flouncees will be missed if they are leaving on such weak pretenses as this OP. Besides, who cares if anyone wants to leave the forum? Not me, I care just as much as I value the stuff I read on here, especially what BadDoggie writes.

Ah, that's not fair though. The poor chap is trying his best. He's even returned briefly to provide further clarification to keep things moving along. You've got to remember that he has only been registered for a month so will not have enough time to get is own 'clique' up and running. Who is there to step into the breach and be his 'mini me' when he is too busy to keep the whole thing going? It's much easier to be passive-aggressive when you can share the load.
He hasn't even asked anyone 'to choose'
Good luck in the future little friend.

Lavender Rain

The flouncer doesn't need to log on to read the thread but they do need to log on to read their PMs.
Oh the cruel irony. The flounce that begs for attention and then finding your major source of compassion / support cut off. What is a flouncer to do?
Perhaps Editor Bob could offer a PM forwarding service for those who need to flounce? Perhaps to a subsequent logon ID if this makes things smoother?
