Where to buy flaxseed or linseed oil

Suggested stores and what to ask for

Thought I might add onto this... (I used search, yes!)

Where can I buy "Flaxseed Oil" - Preferably in capsule (vegecap) rather than straight oil???

I cannot find it in Munich - Unfortunately tomorrow is our last day here when we go to Vienna - which will make it even harder to find no doubt! Any suggestions?

It may also be called linseed oil or something similar...?

Cheers,

Aaron

That was quick!

Is that linseed or flaxseed? Some searching has now lead me to believe they are different...?

I currently take flaxseed for eczema, so it would be nice to grab some more before I run out smile.gif

Cheers for the help,

Aaron

According to Wiki, flaxseed and linseed is the same, and here in Germany, you can get "Leinöl" in a Reformhaus (see link in post #22). There's a traditional German dish, Pellkartoffeln mit Quark und Leinöl.

EDIT: Or try a pharmacy

Awesome... I'll have a look.

We are in south munich now and can't find it in the few we've looked in, but we were probably looking for the wrong thing!

Thanks,

Aaron

An update...

Obviously us Aussies are rather health conscience and over the top about it, couldn't find my capsules anywhere, went to heaps of places, what I have, they couldn't order. So yeah, appears some things are available in aus that I just can't find easy enough over here. In Vienna now - so will try again or when I get to switzerland!

Thanks for the help guys,

Aaron

P.S. What I couldn't get was 1000mg flax seed oil capsules. They sold 460mg ones, but with different percentages of O3, etc...

I just eat flax seed. smile.gif

Just wanted to post a few more options for groceries -- Herrmannsdorfer sells organic & cruelty free meat and dairy. Pricey but very nice quality. And Hofpfisterei is a really good organic bakery that uses natural yeast. If you are in Schwabing you might want to check out the elisabethmarkt. They have branches of the above two plus an organic cheese shop. Oh and an organic vegetable grocer too, though he can be a bit hit or miss.
