Hello Everyone!
I am getting married in the spring here in Munich. Any suggestions for a reception for approximately 130 guests in or around Munich would be appreciated! Any other tips for getting married here (wedding dresses, decorations, music, cakes, etc.) is also appreciated. Thank you!

I'm getting married in September and now we're looking for a nice restaurant for our wedding reception. We'll be around 60-70 people and it should be in the south east of Munich (Neubiberg/Ottobrunn/Höhenkirchen/Aying etc.). Any suggestions?

Hello,
Well as fate would have it, I am getting married to a local Bavarian hottie, and its time to search out a place for the reception. We are getting married in the St. Michealskirche which is at pfanzeltplantz, Perlach. Now the reception is the hard part as I have no idea of where to look. I have been doing some surfing and found a few places, but I think asking here is also a good idea! So does anybody know a really nice place to hold the reception. I am looking for a place that has lots of windows, or is relatively brighter and not a dungeon looking place. Any place in south east Munich would be great!
Thanks!

We had our reception at the Alter Wirt - across the road from Zar Bar of Chili Cookoff fame. The owner made a real effort to accomodate our budget and wishes and the food was good Bavarian stuff. Room for a band and all that if you want it. I'd recommend it as an option.

There is a an Egger in Perlach, that has a separate room upstairs.
you could also try the Forschungs Brau if you were looking for something different.

Zur Post in Perlach has a big function room upstairs, with a stage for the band. Within picturesque strolling distance of the church along the Hachinger Bach.

"Gasthof Inselkammer" in Siegertsbrunn or the "Brauereigasthof" in Aying...

Zur Post Perlach is a good suggestion. If you think about it, its practical to have the reception near the church, as otherwise (and assuming here you are not german and a lot of your guests will not have cars) you will have to hire 2 or 3 busses to get the guests from a to b.
You would be looking at about 200/ 300 euro per bus for a couple of hours if you were to need them.

Palmengarten in Schloss Nymphenburg.
Or see here for a
list of wedding venues in Munich & Bavaria - maybe one will be good for the reception too.

I also got married at the Palm Garden in June and is was wonderful - the food, the service and the venue. Can highly recommend it - but mine was a lunch on a beautiful day so I don't know if it would have been so special if the weather wasn't so wonderful
