Where to buy Glühwein out of season

Shopping for mulled wine in the springtime

Hi!

I was wondering if it is possible to get a hold of Glühwein this time of year in Munich, and not to an extremely expensive price. I've been to Real and Aldi, and they claim that you cannot find it in stores in spring. I understand that it might cost a bit more than usual (than around christmas), but it is not that important. Please help! sad.gif

I got a packet of Glühwein spices that I will sell you for 5€. Cheap wine you will have to buy yourself.

I think I saw some in V-Markt on Balanstr. yesterday.

Rewe at Arabellapark still has some. But as someone else mentioned the Glühwien fix is always avail.

I've got an unused carton of Kinderpunsch... ok, I know that's the cop-out version and doesn't actually count as proper Glühwein (which is why it's still unused - bought it for when my grandma came to visit...) but you're quite welcome to have it, if you want!! tongue.gif

Wow! You get replies really fast on this forum biggrin.gif Thank you for all your help.. Thing is, I kinda need about 20L.. Would it be cheaper to get a hold of the spices + cheap wine myself than to buy it ready?
Carm
20L- are we all invited? laugh.gif
drsparris
Of course! wink.gif Only problem is, we kind of invited 60 persons to a party in a WG made for max. 20. That will be most interesting to see...

Send me a PM as a reminder and I'll send you my Ma's recipe from home this evening.

Just make it yourself. I use "fruit" wines like Blackberry or Rasberry. For every bottle of wine, 1 cinimon stick and 4 cloves. I make 3 bottles at a time in my crock pot. Let it heat up, turn it off and let it sit overnight, then heat up again the next day and it's better than any that I've bought.

In addition to the cinnamon and cloves, also add some sugar and orange juice if you like. This is how I usually make it, and it tastes really nice.

Don't forget to add brandy!
