Anyone know of Munich ticket agencies or 'fixers'. Keen to get a couple of decent tickets to an 'ausverkauft' July Staatsoper performance and prepared to pay a (hopefully modest) premium rather than stand outside on the night with a deperate look and a cardboard sign. Thanks.

I have had some (can also read limited) sucess on e-bay for sold out operas in Berlin. Otherwise it is stand outside and pay well over the odds if it is a sold out performance.
I have not heard of agencies that do this, sorry.

e-bay is the way to go.

We have bought tickets on ebay.de in the past. Face value of course ... Why not try there !

You would be suprised but the so-desperate 'Suche Karte' sign has gotten me tickets on more than one occasion. There are always some folks popping up before the performance looking to off-load their ticket or has a season pass and you can be their guest (or something of the like). What you call desperate, I call being able to see a lovely performance in a non-nose bleed seat.

Definitely hang about outside before the gig...there are nearly always people willing to sell at face value outside gigs. There are usually people that will sell at a profit too.
