Where to buy a wedding dress

I'm getting married in August and I'm looking for a wedding dress. So far, I've only found shops that sell (B+A+C and Lilly) or shops that tailor a dress from scratch (Dressmaker). I'm looking for a place where I could rent a dress or buy a used one. Most of the dresses I've found on e-Bay are in Austria, so I'm not interested in them. I want to be able to try it on.

I heard there was a huge wedding dress store somewhere in North Germany, but my friend couldn't think of the name of it.

Any ideas?

A friend told me there is a huge huge wedding dress store in Bremen, which is like an hour train ride from here. We're planning to check it out in the coming months, so I can't recommend it yet. Would you like me to find out the information?

Please, please, PLEASE do find the info for me. My car arrived from the U.S. and I'm picking it up in Bremerhafen next week. Sounds like a great thing to check out while I'm there.

I am a guy but I get around and there is a huge selection in Dodenhof exit Posthausen just before Bremen on the A1.

The other place you mean is Laue Hof

This places has been on tv a few times and seems big.

There is also a Dodenhof on the A7 Autobahn just North of Hamburg (Kaltenkirchen). Have never been inside.

The one in Kaltenkirchen is only about half the size and has no wedding dresses.

Good shopping for clothes though without the traffic hassel downtown.

My friend says the wedding dress outlet store in Bremen is called LILLY and every dress there is 134€. Lilly is the brand, so they only carry Lilly dresses.

Another idea!

If you want to save money and want a copy of a designer dress, which is made-to-measure i would highly recommend buying from China.I am getting married this May and have ordered my perfect dress from 'shopofbrides', their service has been wonderful! I have heard some horror stories in the past about other companies but this one is a good one. If you would like more information, please let me know.

I don’t like to give bad reviews but when it’s deserved it’s deserved.
There is a bridal salon in Lübeck it is the worst place on the planet!!!

The owner Erica Rickert is a total mess she is the abundance of a B with a very bad itch.

At first she’s all nice and wonderful makes you feel like family and like flies to the honey your sucked in. but don’t, don’t go don’t buy don’t get ripped off. I am not going into detail because I don’t feel it would be right to air too much laundry. I simply wish to spare you all the pain an suffering this woman cased with my dress (In the end I bought a second dress last minute from another local dressmaker and was happy on my wedding day-but I am scared for life.)

She even tried to sell me her husband who recently started calling himself Mr. Fotodesign he's a joke no portfolio no skill no training. He shoots and burn the pictures on CD no prints no packages, no service. A girl friend of mine went with him coz he's cheep and they were on a really tight budget all the images on the CD were crap. The brides head was cut off in most the colours all wrong they were totally posed in all the shots. (So much so that the bride and groom looked constipated) he took no candid shots or shots of the church, reception or any of the details, or the guests. He flashed up a storm in the church and disturbed the reception over and over.

Ok that’s enough from me. I have to breath!
Simply put tell your friends and boycott this disgrace to all hard working Pros out there!

Only got a chance to visit the Lilly Outlet store in downtown Bremen. Spent four hours there and had to come back to Hamburg without getting a chance to visit the other places. I can't believe the prices. It really is €134 per bridal outfit and sometimes cheaper!
