Heidelberger Frühling

From March 29 through April 25, you can enjoy the international music festival Heidelberger Frühling (Heidelberg Spring) with its theme "Zwischentöne" (intermediate tones) You can choose from approximately 80 concerts, including orchestras such as the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra with conductors Sakari Oaramo and Anu Tali, or renowned artists and pianist such as Murray Perahiak, Fazil Say, the baritone Thomas Hampson or the celebrated Annette Dasch who made a splash at her debut concert at the Salzburger Festspielen in 2007.

Last night I paid a mere 15 Euro to see Rafal Blechacz play works from Mozart, Debussy, Szymanowski and Chopin.

wow, its rare to meet someone who has even heard of Szymanowski thanks for the info; i'll definitely have to check this out. too bad i missed that piano performance already...
