My seven year old has the whole of next week off and might enjoy learning to skate. He can manage a bit of German so language is not a problem.

Do you know of any places in the city (we live in Neuhausen) where they teach skating? I rememeber someone telling me about a course in Olympiapark but now I am not able to find their website or anything. Olympiapark would be very convenient for us.

It's a bit late for your last week's plans but really any rink offers skating lessons for children - and adults. Best to phone up as the websites are usually not very up-to-date. Good luck.

sorry: only saw now that you put your post on only yesterday so it's actually not too late... just give them a ring

found a course and took my son to the class sunday. It was really good and the Instructor (Ingrid Franz) takes personal care and it was wonderful to see adults and children learn to skate within 2 hours. The beginners course runs for 2.5 hours and the charge is €25 for adults and €22.5 for children. You need to bring your own skates and protective equipment.
