I'm helping a colleague translate a restaurant menu to English. To me, Windbeutel are Profiteroles, but all the dictionaries come up with cream puffs, which in my mind are a bigger confection altogether.
Which would be the better translation to choose, bearing in mind that the menu is aimed at international customers?

I would expect to see profiteroles on a restaurant menu and cream puffs in maybe a cake shop... just my opinion. I am sure cream puffs may be bigger but I have made some large profiteroles too
I have to say I am not used to the term cream puffs, maybe this is a USA v UK thing, or maybe I have been in

I've never heard of a profiterole, but cream puffs make my mouth water. Wiki says they are one and the same, just British vs. American. I think either word would work.

What wiki says must be true BellyFlyer. In that case of course Cream Puffs are larger than Profiteroles because it is then an american-sized serving!
Is a chocolate éclair just a desert equivalent of the hot-dog then?
