Hi all,
I have recently moved to Berlin from London, (originally from NZ) where as we know the fashion industry is thriving. I have a degree in Design and work with Art direction, styling, costume and PR- but lack the German language, (whoops, just had to stay in this wonderful city!). I am starting to grasp that there are not many jobs in Berlin and I am finding that most people in creative industries are working side jobs in order to fund there own projects. I would prefer to do all in one and combine my job with my creativity, and wondered if there might be some kind of international correspondence jobs (PR?) or fashion houses here.
Any insight or information would be amazing,
Thankyou so much!
Sasha

In Berlin, even in the fashion industry, it is fairly important to speak German. Even companies with strong international connections still have strong roots here, and they prefer people that speak English and German (because they are a dime a dozen here! lots of Germans speak English)

Thanks, could you recommend any companies or fashion houses/magazines I should be looking into?
I know German lessons are defiantely in the plans, I suppose it is that awful catch 22 that to afford them I need to work...well maybe I'll have to start somewhere else and throw myself in when I am more prepared!
Thanks heaps!
