Advice on what the options are
travelingpac
I hope you all can help. We are getting SKY and AFN at the moment. One sky box is not working and we want to get German TV. I think Cable would be the easiest to install - no more satellite dishes!!Is there more than KabelDeutchland out there? Can anyone recomment a cabel supplier?

thanks.

You dont need a sky box to get UK TV in Germany. You can do it with a german receiver that supports Astra 1 and 2.
Just tune the dish into 29.2 instead of 19.2 and your good to go. no Ch4 though or Ch5 with a german receiver though!

Or Sky box with Free to view card works also. Available from the UK! and then you can watch all Free to air channels.
In Stuttgart you might need a 80cm dish for a good signal. I have an 80cm dish and get an fab signal and get BBC news every day! YEY

You can get lots of english speaking help from the lovely people at Bavaria satellite in Munich. Run by English folks.

They have an internet site. google.de it. They gave me advice on the subject and also installed my mates dish in Munich!

Actually it's 28.2, not 29.2 and we've tried that setting. You get English channels, but they aren't worth a crap, unless you like watching public access channels from everywhere.
