I actually got the news of this off of Kika. My 6yo son was watching Lazytown or something and they interrupted with this news bulletin.

Whether you should know them or not is not something I'd like to say, but you may well have heard "Durch den Monsoon", which was their first big hit a few years back and which there was pretty much no avoiding...

Anyway, this Bill chappie don't have no mickín.

The band are one of the best examples (to people in germany who may have heard of them) of just how the record industry works.

They received the best newcomer band award at one german awards things after only releasing one song.

Also sounds like the record company are treting the lead singer like a choir boy, work him as much as possible, make as much cash as possible for his voice breaks.

I'm gutted. They are such an awesome band.

I wish Bill the best and hope that this development doesn't stop them from repeating their success at the 2007 MTV Europe awards.

I know this is a "bit" weird, but 2 months ago they played a little North American tour and sold out shows in NY, LA, Montreal and Toronto in a matter of hours. And all those girls there learned the German lyrics. I blame Youtube. They are platinum in all of Europe and i think Israel. Something is wrong in the world today.

At least they can play istruments.
