Favorite kinds of German bread

What are yours?

Went to the Ostermarkt in Bad Tolz yesterday; had the best bread of my life there. Some bakers had set up a wood-fired brick oven and were making and baking fresh bread right there at the market! Though I make my own bread on occasion, this was much better than mine. Don't know the name of it (bauerbrot?) but I kept the bag with their name on it. Now I just have to convince myself to drive that extra hour next weekend for another loaf...

I also like the pumpkinseed bread and the walnut bread here (though it could use some of the spices I put in my walnut bread).

Anyone else have any favorites?

Thanks man. Didn't come up in my search for "best bread" or "bread kinds."

There is a wholemeal Wurstelbrot you can buy at Karstadt in Munich that I like. I am also partial to pumpkinseed laugenstänge too

The Frankenlaib from the Hofpfisterei is my favourite bread.

Flavoured with coriander, kümmel (caraway) and fenchel (fennel).
