I'm planning to move to Germany this summer and from what I understand the best way (and perhaps only way) is to get a job offer from a company that cannot be fulfilled by a German citizen for some reason, and then show this to the government and hope you get a work permit. Do they consider translation jobs for german-american/british relationships as specialty if I'm a native speaker? My German's not perfect yet but I'm pretty confident that after 3 months in Germany I'd be capable of such a job rather proficiently.

any recommendations on whether or not this is a good direction to go in? If yes, then what companies would be better, you think? At least what line of business? If this is the wrong direction, what's something I might be able to qualify for a job as basically my only skills being a native english speaker and (if it counts for anything) being able to fix computers.

Help is as always greatly appreciated. Thanks for your time.
