Satellite dish, digibox, cables, and more

For sale, all you need for satellite TV

After realising that i cant 'see' the Astra 2 satellite from out balcony (by a couple of degrees dry.gif ) ive decided to give up on finding other satellites which offer a 'couple' of english speaking channels!

So im selling all the gear i bought as 1) i cant find the receipts 2) ive chucked all the boxes anyway

The equipment consists of (all purchased from MediaMarkt):

60cm red Dish
2000ch Digi box
Single LNB
Co-ax cable (1x3m, 1x5m + 1x 10cm flat strip to allow connect through a window frame without making holes)
Signal strength meter & compass

Also have the stand i made for it (as im in rented accommodation i couldnt fix it to anything). Which comprises of a large terracotta pot (about 30cm square & blue/green in colour) filled 3/4 with cement, with a large garden stake fixed into it (approx 8cm dia. & 1.5m tall)

Can get photos up hopefully tonight.

It all came to nearly 200euros, but willing to accept any sensible offer to get shot of it smile.gif

No takers?? Seriously ill accept any sensible offer just to get rid of it off the balcony! smile.gif
mattshaw
Still have this. Really suprised ive had no takers!! sad.gif

Anyway... its bugging my now having it on the balcony! We are taking about nearly 200euros worth of 'as new' kit here so for the cost of the dish itself you get EVERYTHING! So thats 40euros & you get everything (bar the tv) you need to get satellite tv!

I would give it away for free, if i didnt think someone would take it just to put on ebay!! sad.gif

Hi Matt,

I think this stuff might be useful to me.

However, I only just moved here this week and I'm in the process of sorting so many other things it wasn't on my list of priorities (I just stumbled across your add whilst looking over this site to get a feel of how things work in this forum).

I just moved from Prague where I had a Sky 3rd party reseller package - but as the equipment belonged to the landlord I never had to think about the installation process. Anyway, it seems from what you have said that I can receive the same package with the stuff you want shot of. I've noticed information elsewhere on this site about satellite TV so I just need to look it over to be sure (and buying a TV would be a start).

I'll be in touch shortly - unless you actually managed to get shot of it already.

Cheers

You won't get many (at least no interesting) English channels in Berlin with a 60cm dish...
mattshaw
Not true. You can get all but BBC & ITV chaneels with even just a sky minidish wink.gif

HI Matthew,

I'll help you get rid of it for 25 euro's. Can't use it yet but I as I am (like you) in a flat but without a balcony and hope to be moving in the next couple of months. Let me know if you are interested.

So what interesting (and non-Sky) channels can you receive?
mattshaw
i dont know of any myself but have been told there are plenty of 'interesting' channels to be gotten on other satellites.

I've got a 60cm dish here near Leipzig. I've got a perfect picture and receive all English channels.
YorkshireLad6
That'll be "Leipzig", that well known suburb of Berlin, or "Leipzig", 195km away? Assuming the latter, while I won't say outright " I don't believe you", I will say that I doubt you - at least for regular BBC and ITV transmissions - you'll be lucky to get these with anything under 100cm.
PS - I lied - I don't believe you.
the vicar
Yep, I'm quite happy to be nearly 200km away from those miserable sods. I would have thought Leipzig is in the same satellite footprint as Berlin. But I'm sure you'll correct me.

Doubt a man of the cloth. Shame on you! I can assure you I'm watching all channels on 60cm dish. No break up in picture. Perfect. Put your money where your mouth is and have €1000 bet?

Hi,

So, if you haven't sold your dish yet I would be interested in it! I take posession of a flat with a balcony on may 5th, and desperately want english tv! I am however totally incapable of setting this all up myself and would need some assistance on that front (What is the monthly rate for your connection to the satellite?) I would give you 100 Euros if it works at my place and if you could help me get it up and working!
