Hello,

I receive job offer as IT Network and System administrator in company from Augsburg area.
I`m looking for any information about salary which are good enough for living with wife, 1 baby (1 year old) in Augsburg or in Augsburg`s suburbs.
I do not have extra requirements - we want to rent 3 rooms in quiet/green surround (min. 60 sq.m.) and have (in fact pay car insurance and car service) a normal car (astra/focus combi). We do not plan visit reaturants each day and spend money for pleasures - people who has small baby know what about I talking smile.gif.
Please let me advice - Company ask me how much I want to earn - I can add information that it is headquarter smile.gif of my company where I actually work abroad Germany.
I`m Polish who do not speak German language but definitely want to learn.
I have 12 years experience in big companies (IT Departments) - including 7 years in my current company.
I did first estimation and:
All Flat`s fee - around 800 euro
Supermarkets (food, chemistry, etc.), clothes, doctor and drugs from time to time (baby!) - around 1000
Car insurance, fuel - around 200.
I think that my wife stay at home for the next one year with our baby and need work permission in Germany. At the begining we expect only one income.
I think i should ask minimium about 3000 - 3300 euro take-home pay.
Please, let me know Yours opinion.
Thank You very much in advance and kind regards - sagittarius_3000
Ohno
Hi

I would say an absolute minimum of 2000 Euro netto, probably a bit more. It does of course depend a lot on what you want from life.

Good luck anyway, I lived in Augsburg for while and liked a lot.

Should top 2500 net per month.
Thought the fact is that many professionals will be barely clearing 2000 a month and have to keep a family on that.
Outlay costs fall relatively the longer you stay of course.

I think MT had it down pat.

Dears,

Thank You very much for Yours replies.
I do not plan to have rich nightlife, yacht or visit restaurant 3 times a day tongue.gif.
I have a baby, plan to have second smile.gif - until I have enough patience wink.gif.
I want to have normal life with my family in Germany - to have money for health, insurances, food, clothes, children`s education, simple combi car...
I know that it is hard to say what mean normal life...
Job in company`s headquarter is some kind of promotion for me in the company - that`s why I do not want to waste this chance.

Any information about various living costs, German people and life in Germany are very welcome.

Thank You very much once again.
Have a nice sunday - today is very sunny day in Poland - let`s go for a walk with Your friends/family.

kind regards, Sagittarius_3000
