Does anyone know any child friendly cafe/restaurants in the city center, close to either Hauptbahnhof or Marienplatz?

Many thanks

Sounds great but unfortunately it is miles away from Hauptbahnhof and Marienplatz! Really needs something that is quite close to either of these stops.

Depends what you mean by child-friendly? How old is your little one? Are you looking for somewhere where he/she can run about without disturbing anyone, or do you just want somewhere where people aren't going to look at you funny because your child is sitting at the table and maybe occasionally talking more loudly than an adult would?

Theres a thread on child friendly restaurants. Link below. The Hard Rock Cafe and Ratskeller worked for us and my sisters toddler, as did the Cafe Glockenspiel. To be fair, the latter was virtually empty when we hit it during the World Cup.

Ratskeller. They've got a whole bunch of kid's play stuff -- coloring books and crayons and things, and the place is huge so shouldn't be a problem with space -- and it's beautiful with painted ceilings and arches etc. And non-smoking zones too (which the Hard Rock also has).

Karstadt Oberpollinger at the Restaurant in the 5th Floor. They have a small play area for toddlers.

And I read somewhere that Schrannenhalle has some Babysitting facilities.

VITS cafe, on Rumfordstr., not far from Isartor, has a small play area, and delicous coffee and cake. They have a family brunch on Sunday's, which we havent tried yet.
