Where to see independent films in Munich

One thing I miss about where I used to live is the little independent theatre that was close to my apartment. Anyone know of a good place to see quality movies? In the original language? No dubbing, please!
If you are interested in an indy movie meet-up night in Munich, let me know. Drinks afterwards would be in order...
Cheers!

Arena in the Hans Sachs Strasse is just near you and there's that one on Landshuter Alle, just a 15 minute ride on the 16/17 tram.

That would be Maxim. Werkstattkino in Fraunhoferstrasse 9 (courtyard) sometimes has good stuff too (lots of wild and wacky films as well) - see In München day-by-day cinema listings for details (also for Maxim, which actually has a singularly uninformative website) Monopol in Feilitzschstr. has a varied non-mainstream programme with some subtitled films.

Not sure what sort of films you're looking for, but the Filmmuseum & Theatiner might interest you too.

You could also check the Artechock website to see what films are on. It sorts the info either by film or by cinema. In case you don't already know, look for "OF" (original language) or "OmU" (with German subtitles) for films being shown in the original language. Sometimes foreign-language films are shown with English subtitles (OmeU).
