Ceramics and pottery fair in Diessen - Munich

The annual Diessen pottery market is scheduled for 1st - 4th May 2008. There is a marvellous collection of wares, often being sold directly by the maker. Prices vary from pocket-money to megabucks with a variety of styles - from homely to the nonsense avant garde.

We visited this yesterday and the choice of wares was amazing - many of the prices are in the 10-30 euro range (at least for the smaller tableware items, vases etc).
There is a very nice atmosphere with plenty of fischsemmel usw.

For clarity (too late for this year but useful for 2009) the Pottery Fair is held directly by the edge of the lake where the boat docks. Diessen can also be reached by 'normal' RB trains. As far as I know it is held in the same place every year.
