TÜV approved garages for car damage estimates

Recommendations for a pre-TÜV assessment

The one and only time I used my underground parking spot (anyone want an underground parking space?? I wont use it again) I managed to badly dent my beloved cars right front wing. Now the TUEV is coming up soon and Im not sure it'll pass looking like that. Since Ive never had a TUEV in Germany before, Im not quite sure of the correct procedure. I believe if I go the TUEV directly it will cost me an arm and a leg just for them to have a look at the damage and say "aye" or "naye".

Are there any Garages I can go to for them to see if it needs repairing? I work in U'heim and live in Freimann, so northern Munich would be perfect, but is not essential.

I would be grateful for any suggestions..

If it is so badly dented that the panel is flapping in the wind, pressing on the wheel or has exposed metal edges then you may have a problem with the Tuev, otherwise you just have a problem with the aesthetics of your vehicle.

I've recently used Ostermeier behind the Ostbahnhof after a similar incident and can recommend them. They did a good job, were less than half the price of the Mercedes main dealer and are very professional. Only thing to watch is that their quote excludes MwSt... but maybe I should have known that.

A very short, quick and painless search would lead you in the direction of Stimmer & Sohn who are not a million miles from you and will give you a very competitive quote. Not a high one you'd need for an insurance company but very good for work you'll pay for yourself wink.gif

I went to BMW today to get a repair estimate and they wanted €50 for every €500 worth of damage. This is seriously lame! There has to be a better way to get a frigging estimate without spending money to get the damn thing!
