This meet up is open to all English-speakers in Munich aged between 20 and 30 years. Newcomers to the group are always welcome. Join us for drinks, chat, a laugh, and meeting new people.
The date is fixed, as given in the title above. The venue will be decided by vote below.
To join the event, simply post your username and preferred venue. The way it works is that you copy the list of names from the last post in the thread, paste that into your post, and then add your own name and venue vote to the bottom.
You can change your attendance or vote by re-coping and pasting at anytime before Wednesday at 6am. So if you see where democracy is taking the group and don't like it, feel free to change your vote. Hell, group together and form a block to change it to something else. Once the group has decided though, there's no going back. Also, only vote for a venue if you actually plan on showing up. On Wednesday morning, I'll look at the votes, ignore them, and post the executive decision.
Past Venues:
Havana Club: Great place, great Layout for socializing, service is too slow for more than 15 people
X Club: Perfect for a meetup of any size, we'll go again.
Negroni: A nice place for drinks, too small for a large group, also most people sit at tables making standing awkward.
Flaschenbar: Too small for our large group.
Ysenegger : Small, but not too small for future visits, attractive wait staff a plus.
Die Bank: Perfect size, nice nook, on the list to return to.

PS - Yes the afterwork party at Pascha/089 is quite good but if we are going in a big group, we might not be able to be altogether (packed beyond belief) and able to have a proper conversation. If anything, if there are folks up for it after the meet up then fine. And FYI its 6 yoyos for entry.

The primary goal of these meet-up is for meeting each other. To that effect, there are a couple "rules" I like to keep to when deciding on location. Obviously this isn't in any way binding, but here are my criteria and how I come to the conclusion:
No cover: Being a youth focused group, we get people with wide variety of financial situations. No one should have to pay money for the pleasure of our company if that's all they want. Additionally, since we're all just there to meet each other anyway, it doesn't really matter too much where we stand and talk
Not too big: It shouldn't be so big that people new to the group wouldn't be able to find us. Ideally, someone can arrive at anytime, and with a quick walk around, figure out who we are.
No Smoking: This somewhat goes along with my no-cover philosophy: it prevents some people from joining, so we should avoid it.
Defense: It should be easy to secure and defend in the case of sudden zombie attack
Basically, my goal is to have a meet-up where any lonely sole, if they choose, can easily find us, meet new friends, and leave without being required to spend any money.
Myself, I will be making up for anyone not patronizing the bar, as I get this Friday off Then again, I'm told I "look like shit" so perhaps I should take a break from drinking

This meet up is open to all English-speakers in Munich aged between 20 and 30 years. Newcomers to the group are always welcome. Join us for drinks, chat, a laugh, and meeting new people.
The date is fixed, as given in the title above. The venue will be decided by vote below.
To join the event, simply post your username and preferred venue. The way it works is that you copy the list of names from the last post in the thread, paste that into your post, and then add your own name and venue vote to the bottom.
You can change your attendance or vote by re-coping and pasting at anytime before Wednesday at 6am. So if you see where democracy is taking the group and don't like it, feel free to change your vote. Hell, group together and form a block to change it to something else. Once the group has decided though, there's no going back. Also, only vote for a venue if you actually plan on showing up. On Wednesday morning, I'll look at the votes, ignore them, and post the executive decision.

X Club: Perfect for a meetup of any size, we'll go again.
Negroni: A nice place for drinks, too small for a large group, also most people sit at tables making standing awkward.

Ysenegger : Small, but not too small for future visits, attractive wait staff a plus.

I won't be going this week, but that Beach Bar that the U25s went to the other week was good times indeed. Plenty of room for this crowd, I'd say.
