The "Der Andechser im Ratskeller",I've heard the beer is suppose to be really good(and the food is pretty good too).
Although I'm not a beer drinker, I own Dan a beer so I thought this place would be good .
The "Haltbar" is also nice for a casual atmosphere with good food.

Saira and I couldn't make it to the Irish pub , after telling Dan that we'd be there.
So we owe him a beer .

ZORBAS - never been there but is pretty easy to get to...about a 15 minute walk from the Innenstadt and easy to get to by bus.

FRIEDERIKE - this has closed and has now reopened as the Cafe Extrablatt. It's a nice place, cheap with a decent menu, but the service is shit. And I mean really shit. 15 minutes to take an order then bring the wrong food.

HACIENDA - nice restaurant, lovely location (next to the Rheinufer) but is miles away from the centre in the riverside suburb of Biebrich. Great Eis-Cafe next door though :-) Worth a trip if people don't mind driving or taking the bus (Number 4 bus from the centre of WI to the end of the route).

I should be there. Rheinufer wouldn't bother me. Anything but the sportsbar. Had a burger there the other day that was wretched.

Hey everyone...I'm new to the Wiesbaden area, and just came across this group. Mind if I join your 'dinner and drinks' meet up? I'm an American who, through unexpected circumstances, has found myself in Germany for the forseeable future. I've been here for several weeks..staying in Wiesbaden, and been dying to meet people. So, this group seems perfect for me. I'd love to join you folks!! I'm not sure where this place is, so It'd be great to meet up w/someone to get there. Even though I have no idea where it is, I have a Nav. system in my car..so, how hard can it be, right? I'd be willing...actually to drive if someone needs a ride, and actually would prefer it if I could go with someone already familiar with the group.

Anyway..Hope I can meet up with you all...sounds like a fun group, and I'm really anxious to meet people before I go nuts here

I am gonna go there straight from work as my office is only 2km from the restaurant. If anyone needs a lift back to the city centre after the meal then let me know!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came out last night...I had a great time, and it was nice to meet all of you. Looking forward to doing something again soon. I'm pretty much open to anything/anytime
