Hi

i'm planning to go with my friend somewhere, from munich, using a Bayern Ticket.
I've already been to Nurniberg and KingSee's Lake.

Any suggestion for tomorrow?

Thanks!

Wurzburg is a great city and I have put a fair amount of info on it in other threads. Use the search function in the top right corner.

Salzburg is available to go to on the Bayern ticket, haven't been, but most people say it is a good day trip.

Rothenberg OdT is a well preserved medieval, walled city that I can recommend for a daytrip (not much more though).

Regensburg is a nice city and you can go to Weltenburg if you have the time.

you've been so so kind...i will consider all smile.gif)))

do you think i can match more than one? hard to say..

You could probably do Wurzburg and Rothenberg if you wanted to make it a long day. It take about 4 hours from Munich to Wurzburg (trains leave every hour) spend 3-4 hours there. Then you can get a train to Rothenburg (takes an hour and trains leave 41 minutes after every hour) spend a 2-3 hours there and finally catch a train back to Munich (takes 3.5 hours, trains leave 6 minutes after every hour). Be careful to make the last train out at 2006 or you may experience a night in Rothenburg.

That a total of 15.5 hours of travelling, I would rather shoot myself in the face than cart my 15 month along for that, but if you are all reasonably fit adults its doable. Especially considering that the Bayern Ticket is good from midnight on Saturdays (unlike during the week where you have to wait until 0900).

Best of luck and enjoy.

I would also suggest Würzburg or Salzburg. Here are some pictures I took in Würzburg when I was there in June 05.

Italians visiting Würzburg Residenz will have a great opportunity to admire some of the masterpieces of their famous compatriots Giovanni Battista Tiepolo and Antonio Bossi ...

Treppenhaus (Staircase)

QUOTE
... Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, summoned specially from Venice for the purpose, decorated the vault in 1752/53 with the largest ceiling fresco ever painted. With great artistic sensitivity he depicted the exotic, magical worlds of the continents of America, Asia and Africa, personified by regal female figures. The highlight of the composition is the allegory of Europe with the Würzburg court as a centre of the arts. The painting, which measures around 600 square metres, is fused into a whole with the sky inhabited by the ancient gods in the centre ...

due to weather and my friend not to want to travel too long, we just went to Starnberg See close to Munich!!!

I hate all the houses close to the lake!

I'll keep your indication for next travel, after Easter time (maybe we can organize with others here...)
