Where to play real darts in Berlin

Pubs and bars with horsehair boards

I'm trying to find a dart board to play on in Berlin... a real dart board made of cork or horsehair or something. Every bar in my neighborhood advertises darts, but they only have the electronic games.

Does anyone know of a bar where I can play actual darts, maybe shoot some pool and have a beer? I feel like it shouldn't be hard to find...

Thanks!

The Victoria Pub in Spandau.

Victoria Pub

Not much help I suppose :-)

No, I having to do with the pub apart from the fact I go there now and again for a whiskey.

Finnegans in BergStr, Steglitz (U9 Schloss Str or S1 Rathaus Steglitz). They have two real darts boards, and have a regular group of players, including a team that plays in Berlin leagues - also a nice friendly Irish pub with decent pub grub.

Happy darting,

There's a little Irish bar in Schoneberg with a darts room attached. The name escapes me, but it's in Apostel-Paulus Strasse, which is tiny, so easy to find...basically 30 seconds away from the Eisenacherstr U-bahn stop, on the blue U7 line. Apostel-Paulusstrasse is behind the big church. It's nothing fancy, but friendly enough. A small pool table also.
A really good pool table - can be found at another bar in Schoneberg, at the intersection of Nollendorfstrasse and Eisenacherstrasse. The bar is called HeckMeck, a really good spirit in there, it's been going for about 30 years, really good mix of people. Best bit is it has a huge pool table, in its own room, and not too busy. Good atmosphere. During the daytimes it's easy to monopolise the table and have a big pool session! At night-time pool is played, beer flows, new friends are made easily. Check it out.

The pub in Apostel Paulus Str is called The Shannon - or now they actually call it The New Shannon. It used to be a great Irish pub, for music and conversation, but then it changed hands and went through a bad time. It was closed for a while, and opened again recently, run by a Portugese guy. I've not been there, but I've heard mixed reviews.

Happy Easter,

Yeah, you're right Colin, that's the one. It IS a bit grotty/tiny. Maybe the Oscar Wilde pub in Friedrichstrasse has a dartboard too? Pretty sure it did. It's next to the Tacheles centre, or five min walk north from Friedricjstrasse train station, on the right.

I'm fairly sure there is no dart board at the Oscar Wilde - they do lots of live sport, karoke, and live music in the back bar.

Happy Easter,

They have a dart board in the Harp in Charlottenburg, I've played there a few times although unfortunatly I'm pretty crap. There's often quite a few english people in there playing too

Fantastic! The Irish harp is cool, the staff are good and the Girl who runs it is fantastic, and has the cutest smile in Berlin!
