Hello All,

Am new to this forum, but I have used this website in order to make my life better here in Germany and am thankful for that.

Well here I am with my new requirement smile.gif. Though I have read lot of tpics about configuring to the internet, didnt find the one that will sut my needs.

I ordered for a new internet connection from TCOM and today I received the connection with a speedport 502V wireless router, a telephone, a splitter, a cd and loads of instruction manuals.

It was no rocket science for me to figure out the way to wire all the hardwares to gether and my phone line is working fine and also see that the DSL; WLAN and internet are active from the lights on the router.

My next step would be to make my computer get recognised to the wireless router and the the internet started on my Acer Laptop.

Need a step by step instruction on this one.

Please help

Looking forward to receiving some positive repsonses.

Thanks in advance

Andy

Was there not an installation booklet delivered in the box? When I got mine the book contained german, english and I think french versions of how to setup the router. Check again. If not I'll need to take a look and cut+paste some instructions...which you won't get until Monday of course. sad.gif

Hello,

I have the same issue with Speedport W502V. I have been looking for English version so I could forward it to the Sorenson Communications. I have been having lot of problems with configuring Speedport to work with the videophone applicance. The videophone requires both inbound and outbound ports.

After struggling for several weeks to figure out which configuration worked, I gave up and wanted to exchange for plain T-Com DSL modem so I could use either Netgear or D-Link DSL router. T-Punkt told me it's too late to exchange as it was more than several weeks after the purchase. I could buy the T-Com DSL modem for 70 Euro. Boy, was I really mad!

Why are Speedports so crappy and so hostile to the users who want the videophones?

Regards,
Oliver
