Ive seen AMC 4 times so far on this tour, and theyve been impressive. id not heard anything from them before, but they are simply one of the best bands live.

tickets are 14/15 quid and support comes from the wonderful Mexican Elvis (Munich) who will be playing a few bits from their first EP.

Not to be missed...

Excellent, I saw them about 15 years ago, would be interesting to see how they are nowadays (I'm guessing Mark Eitzel ain't kicking beer bottles into the audience no more). Great tip, though I can't imagine they have a big following in Munich...

he would if you pissed him off. but hes actually a very very funny and lovely gentleman. crowds kind of varied around germany. 100-300 people. mostly...how do i say this...people who would have seen him 15 years ago.

did you catch the show?

Yeah, I caught it, and am glad for it. Mark Eitzel & Vudi are as good if not better than before - and it's always cool to see a band with presence on stage, and interesting non-MTV songs to play. Can't say I was impressed with the venue though; not a very good sound system there. I did see more than a few gray hairs in the audience, but it was also mixed with a 20-something curious crowd.

Bad thing though, Mark started to sing an acoustic 'unplugged' version of Jesus' Hands (great, but not cheery song about alcoholism and loneliness), which the mostly German crowd probably didn't know since it's from their earlier days. He wasn't even halfway through when he paused real briefly to catch his breath, and the audience started clapping. ohmy.gif He just said "oh. ok." and walked off, and it was over. Still moody I guess.

Did talk to the rest of the band afterwards though, and they're from my home city, so it was nice to connect and laugh a bit.
