Hello, everyone!
We'll be in Frankfurt for two days with my fiancee in April. We'd like to buy wedding band, we're getting married soon. Could you please suggest good jewellery shops in Frankfurt with wide choice of nice wedding bands?
Thank you very much in advance. I'm looking forward to you replies.
PS Is Frankfurt good city for shopping generally?

I don't know that they have the best prices but there is a Wempe on the Zeil and they have a huge range of jewelry. From what I have seen it looks pricey though. Not sure why you need to buy the rings in Frankfurt but I wouldn't say this is the best town to shop but if you are on a tight time frame I am sure you will find something.
Congratulations and good luck!

Thank you very much for your answer. WHy you think it's not good to shop in Frankfurt. It seems to me that in every big european city it's fine with shopping. I was in Hamburg and Berlin last year, shopping was ok. Is it different in Frankfurt?

No I do not think Frankfurt is any different to Hamburg or Berlin for shopping for something like a wedding
ring. What about
Tiffany's it is localted on Goethestr. 20.

The good thing about shopping in Frankfurt is that the major shops are aligned along these few streets: Goethestraße (very expensive, amongst others Tiffany's, Bulgari), Freßgass' (Kalbächergasse, pedestrian zone with food shops and some other boutiques) and Zeil (the large pedestrian zone with department stores).
Jeweller's Wempe is located at Hauptwache (centric underground/S-Bahn station), and from there you can also start to explore the Zeil and Freßgass'.
I think Wempe has got modern, expensive jewellery; there's another big shop named Christ (a chain I think) at the Zeil which is more affordable, plus there are other smaller shops in the area.

Good luck! I'm just wondering, doesn't it make more sense (price-wise) to buy the wedding bands in Russia, since precious metals and diamonds are found there?

Unfortunately, all nice looking things that it are possible to buy here are produced in europe (germany, italy etc) and therefore more expensive than in Europe (sometimes twice expensive). Our designers i'm sorry to say mostly develop very strange things (too classical).
I usually buy everything when I'm in Europe.

I have a 3/4 carat diamond solitare ring with a round brilliant cut diamond.
The clarity is a VS2 and a color rating of H.
Size 6.5.
I have the appraisal papers where it is valued at $2,499.00.
I can toss in a wedding band "gratis" that contains 9 round brilliant cut, channel set diamonds for a total carat weight of 1/2 carats. Also size 6.5.
14k white gold.
I can even put it in a Tiffany's box for you!
I won't be needing it any longer.
Anyone interested???
Make an offer!

Tiffany's has the full worldwide catalog ... only problem is that they just take the US$ price and translate it to Euros. That said, you can't go wrong with Tiffany bands because they're not too expensive. Only problem is that you should have bought them before gold hit $1,025 per ounce!
