Music groups for talented teenagers in Cologne

Hi All

Am new to Cologne area, actually living in Bruhl, moved with hubands job in January.

However the big dilemma is our 14yr old daughter, a talented musician (at least I think so) Back home she played for her county orchestra and world music ensemble and sang in the county choir. Since being here we are struggling to find options or groups for her to attend. I should mention the instruments are violin, piano, guitar and of course vocal. She has been very committed to her practise but without qualified help and support, I am sure the enthusiasm will wane eventually.

Of course language is the big issue, despite lessons I am still struggling.

We used to live in Brühl too and my daughter attended the Städtische Musikschule there. It`s on the Clemens-August Strasse and they have quite a big choice ( well they did when she went ). I`ve also heard that another private music school opened in Brühl last year, not sure what the name is though.

Thanks Kim. Thats gives me something to work on. Only hope they speak english, as my german is distinctly lacking at the mo.
