For buying boxes, you can find them in OBI or look for people selling them in Kurz und Fündig.

I paid about 40€ for my moving boxes on eBay.de (double-ribbed, with handles).

If anyone wants to buy some, Ikea sells removal boxes (but not very strong). Alternatively, look for Umzugskartons in the yellow pages.

I need 4 boxes to hold 30kg each, anyone have any going?

You'll probably have more luck finding 8 boxes that will hold 15kg each. 30kg is pretty heavy for paper boxes.

Went and got some boxes at Baumarkt (by 4004, tram 18/19). They have boxes that take 30kg, I think they were a couple of euros each.

Anywhere sell boxes around the Schwabing area?

This Ebay seller has packages of 10 boxes for €14 or €16, depending on the size, with free delivery anywhere in the Munich area.

Having just moved to Munich (Perlach) 3 weeks ago, we have loads of removal boxes in different sizes that are still in good condition to give away.
We also have packing paper which was used to protect the more fragile objects.
The removal company does not seem very interested/motivated in picking them up but we'd like to get them out of our garage.

Can anyone suggest where I could get some moving cartons? I need to ship things to the UK so they need to be reasonable quality. I would prefer not to pay but realise I might have to. All suggestions welcome!

Hi Bella01, I have around 30 "moving" boxes which are taking up all the space in my tiny basement! Would be delighted to get rid of them! I live in Isarvorstadt.
