Anyone here interested?
sunshine_jones
hi all,
this is a new post related to an old subject.
I'm new in Germany (3 weeks) and was wondering if any one is up for a salsa dance meet-up?
its something i've always wanted to do and figured i could also meet other english speakers in the process.
i hope some of you know where there is a good place to go from old posts on the same subject.
thankyou!

I've never tried Salsa dancing, but I'd definately be interested if you find something.. (And if you could put up with my lack of skills) rolleyes.gif

Hi there,
I don't have Salsa skills but would like to meet and make friends. I live in Killesberg area.

If you Google around you can figure out where there are places to go. Just make sure the info is up-to-date. I seem to recall there's some sort of "salsa society" page I found ages ago for Stuggi. There's also a dance school that has some kind of dance party night every week over by the Stöckach stop on the U1 / U2 / U4 / U9 / U14, as I recall. The rest I've sadly forgotten...

If it's going to be on weekends, I might join you too smile.gif No salsa skills so far, but as soon as the new semester starts I'm going to something called salsa-aerobic. Btw, if any of you is interested for meeting up on weekends and going to pubs, gigs, etc or just douing some fun sports together - let me know smile.gif maybe we could start a new thread with weekend activites!

Since I always seem to have French class on the nights of the regular meet-ups in Stuttgart, I'm up for something on the weekends if someone wants to organise something...

Joe Penas in Esslingen is pretty good for this on a Friday night ( maybe other nights also ) and cocktails. Its close to the Sbahn station so can be reached from Stutt and other places.

Salsa sounds fantastico ppl!..There are a quite a lot of places that've sprung up in Stuttgart Süd - the weirdly named "No Solo" has salsa nites on Friday..its' bang on Marienplatz, you can't miss it. Further down in Südheimer Platz, "The Buddha Lounge" has Salsa sundays where they start with an introductory hour of the basics for beginners - they've got quite a huge dancefloor so I'd say that's a nice place to go...any takers?

I was thinking of checking out No Solo tomorrow (21 Mar Friday) - I'm a salsa-beginner too and it would be gr8 to meet some English speakers - wot say?
