does anyone know where I can go to get a schezwan steam bowl?

Cheers

Have you tried the Asian supermarket on the west side of Hohernzollernplatz? (Not sure whereabouts in Munich you're based).

in neuhausen area, but I don't mind going anywhere for a good steam pot, so if any one knows of a place please share!!

Sorry I guess I dont' know what it is called, this is what I mean... you get food just coming to you raw then you have to cook it, one side is very spicy while the other is very good but not so spicy, then you just add the food, its cooked fresh with the spice and mmmm you usually eat it with garlic, some sesame oil and some veggies. You can also make a soup with it at the end, from everything boiling in it...

Aah, sorry. I was thinking of buying the pot itself, rather than a restaurant that serves them. I'm afraid I don't know...
Hazza
There's an asian restaurant on Dom Pedro Strasse that does this. I've eaten there and it's good, reasonably priced food.

I can't remember the name of it now, but It's a 2 minute walk from my place, so I'll check it out and post it later.

If you're in Neuhausen, then it's your neighbourhood too.

I've always heard it called fire pot, but whatever. The place Hazza writes of is probably Akaiko [review] [website]- they do a decently good fire pot there, and it's seems to be fairly popular for the Chinese population in Munich.

they also call it simply hot pot.
Hazza
Yes, it is Akaiko.

No guarantee that they have it but you could try the Asia-Thai shop on Leonrodstr. near the Meldeamt? Lovely staff there, so even if they don't have one, they might be able to tell you who has.

Hazza, I've never been to that place but will do now - cheers.

Hello there. I am from Szechuan.

So you are looking for some fun for you tongues! biggrin.gif

Well I've seen some raw ingredients in the asian market in Rosenheimerplatz. But I haven't tried any restaurant here.
