Snooker meet up -- Saturday 20.Nov.2004

Does anyone want to have a game of snooker one evening during the week? I don't mean regularly, just a one off, like.

Of the places listed here, the only one I know is Bella Billard Center which costs €10 per hour. They're open until 1 am during the week or 3am weekends.

I don't know what the procedure is for organising a get-together on TT. So I just posted here. I hope that's right. If anyone is interested, write back here and I'll organise something for next week.

you can also play at the schelling salon in Schwabing. Maybee better located and certainly a lot cheaper.

I thought that place was pool only?

migh be wrong, i indeed only played pool there. But not mistaken i thought they had some snooker tables more to the back.

I just called them. They don't have snooker tables.

There is a place at Ostbahnhof that has several snooker and pool tables. Played pool there once, and found it quite nice. Have not played snooker for a long while, and in the mean time played too much pool to adjust back again. But would be interested in playing some pool some time.

Can anyone give me company for playing snooker anywhere in Munich? I have to compensate the freaking weather and the boring weekend!

I am ok for Saturday or sunday night ... what ever suits you all but not friday

As far as my game is concerned ... it was good once but am out of pracice for a couple of years and dont think of colored balls at all. So reds would be a blessing lol

Ok. For those interested - I've just booked table 14 in the Bella Billard Center Giesing for Saturday 20th November 2004 at 19:30. Two people are definitely going. We'll be playing for about an hour and a half. All are welcome. There are two snooker tables and umpteen pool tables. For snooker you have to book well in advance (more than two days).

I'll go along as well so long. Anyone else? We could book the other table if it is still available...

Lacha - that makes you the fourth person to say definitely yes. Two of the other three are snooker cats but there's a pool dog going too. So if you're intending to play snooker, it may be an idea to book that other table. Otherwise, you can take pot luck (excuse the pun) on the night to play the dawg at pool. It is usually quite full, though, and you may have to wait for a table.

However, I don't mind playing doubles if needs be. Cats vs Dawgz as it were. Erm, or something.

There are now 5 people coming including myself and Lacha. (The others are all english speaking but are not on Toytown).

I've had a few people ask me how to get there with public transport. The best way is one of the following:

1 - take the U1 to Wettersteinplatz
2 - take the U2 to Silberhornstr
3 - Tram 15 or 25 to Tegernseelandstr. It stops virtually outside the door
