Long-term child care job sought in Frankfurt

Qualified nurse from Australia seeks work
Candice
Hi,

I am an Enrolled Nurse ( a qualification in Australia, one level below a Registered Nurse ), seeking work as a child minder or care giver for an English speaking family. I speak very basic German (am still in the learning process). I have also had a lot of experience in the hospitality industry and would be happy to work as such.

Also, I have heard that it is possible to obtain work at international fairs as a host, but am unsure how to find this work.

Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction, or if anyone knows of a family seeking help.

Thanks

Candice

Candice,

We may need someone to watch our kids this summer (ages 7 and 4) while they are out of school. We are from the USA so would love to have an English speaking person. We live in Krongberg. If you think you might be interested maybe you could start by doing some baby-sitting on the weekends and see how it goes?

If you are looking for a longer term arrangement, I would recommend placing an advertisement up at the International Schools in the area (for example, Frankfurt International School, TIMS, etc.). These school are English speaking so most parents there are looking for someone English speaking. Any German you know would be a plus.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

My husband and I are moving to Frankfurt next month and are looking for someone to look after our ten month old son while we work. The hours are likely to be either 8am -7pm or 8.30am-6.30pm. Although we haven't actually found a house yet we are likely to live near to Niederrad. Have you any experience with young children?

Thanks
Sally
