Hi,

I was wondering if any of you know of shop which sells art supplies, Düsseldorf or surounding area mainly.
I am mainly looking for either shop with rather wider range of canvases. I found quite wide range of paints in one of the shopping centres.

Tube (at the Kunstakademie - Academy of Arts). Best, most professional supplier.

Mühlengasse 3

Problem solved. It's a bit odd for a first post, just stumbled on this forum, while searching something about Düsseldorf.
Met quite a few Expats and Aupairs over the years. Still in contact, so i might contribute a bit to this forum.
Although i'm German myself.

Idee is where my husband goes. They are a little expensive, but if you get the sales it is great.

Hi,

Thanks alittlegreen (cool nick, lol). I may have missed it in the list, but they r in Cologne? That is fine, so r the higher prices as some things you look for quality and good name rather then price. Also I am quite picky about canvas as I have not the right trust in myself to strech it myself (my father always did strech his- I am useless in this). But I am good in picking! (lol).
I also need some good Varnish as I run out of my czech cheap one (Czech cheap varnish is best in the world, seriously, but difficult to come by even in CR). I have tried some other ones but found it quite complicated as the best results I get by actually applying first shiny and then matt one. With the other one I need only the matt one.
I am just wondering why do I write this, sorry.
