I wanna say Thailand somewhere... I have seen it before, I think, and for some reason, Thailand springs to mind. Not much help, I know, but it's something... or not.
ajm1976
Thailand huh, not being funny, but now you say that, is it the beach from "The Beach"?
Mariposa
I went to that website up in the corner of the picture, http://www.berro.com/ and it is a site about Lebanon. I couldn't find the picture there, but if you do an image search of Lebanon beach, an image of what appears to be the same rock comes up:
http://images.google.es/imgres?imgurl=http...ficial%26sa%3DN
And according to that site, it is Rawshe Rock, Beirut.
A picture of the same rock on Flickr: http://flickr.com/photos/tarik/106729465/
Looks like the same place to me, so I think the place you are looking for is Beirut, Lebanon.
Punchbear
Is that One-Eyed Willies ship in the background?
Britasia
@ Mariposa...

I lived in Beirut for a few years and the picture is definatly not of Rawshe Rock.
In fact my apartment overlooked the rock so i like to think that i know it quite well.

If you look here: http://www.berro.com/nature/ the first .htm is your sunset. The other links are nothing to do with Lebanon, so I doubt yours is. I suggest you widen your search.
Owain Glyndwr
looks like the Algarve to me.
BattalionBoy
I can tell you one thing it is definitely not Brighton and before you accuse me of being stupid – what makes you think this picture is a photo of a real place.
Rilana
Somewhere in California?!

(seeing as everyone is throwing random guesses...what the hell).

A lot of beaches look like that.
randy
Looks a bit like like Indian Head Beach, Ecola State Park, Oregon, USA to me. Rilana's right, could be anywhere...

Oh okay. I thought it might be it, because it also has this "gate" and a few other rocks around it.

Ermm i think this is the only comment you need to see or hear?
ajm1976
it looks real to me, thats why asked, if its not then im sorry to waste all of your time and MAKE you read and respond to the posting.
eurovol
Ok, lets do some deductive reasoning.
The picture is taken at sunset or sunrise. That means a beach on the east or west coast.
It comes from www.berro.com. Someone posted it and I suggest that you ask them. They may have even posted where they took it.
The actual link to where you got it would help.
ajm1976
eurvol.
the link is http://www.berro.com/nature/beach_sunset_p...tic_scenery.htm (sorry havent figured out how to hyperlinl it properly).

I had a look on the website for a description, couldnt find on, i have also email the website host and asked them if they know.
Punchbear

Thank One-Eyed Willie.

Somewhere I have a wonderful picture of that rock, taken with a telephoto. I know it is in Oregon along Highway 1, but can't remember just where. I wish I knew what disk that pic was on. I would post it.
Damn!!! sad.gif
kickstartkk
For one i can guess would be the Jurassic Cliff Durdle door in England

and upon further surfing bumped into this list of Natural Archs around the world.
