Hi I moving to Germany on the border with the Netherlands in a few weeks to work at Geilenkirchen NATO base. My husband has an interview next week with NATO to work in Brussels. I've checked google maps quite a bit and train travel times between the two. It seems as though if we live in the Netherlands or the Belguim border with Limburg, we could both commute about an hour in the morning and night. Does anyone have to travel this route very often or are we just crazy to attempt this? They are both just dream jobs, so it would be hard to say no. Just curious on anyones incite on the travel. Are the highways pretty smooth, or should we stick to train travel?
