Where to go for fun and trouble in Munich

Advice for visitors on a night out

Hi.. my friend and I are popping over to Munich for a day and night (12-13th March) and dont really have much planned. We are staying near HBF so transport not an issue.

I did live in schwabing over 6 years ago and dont imagine it to have changed much, but I have *grin*

Looking for a good night out (we are both female, 36 & 40) and love finding trouble smile.gif

Please guys, give me some insight on how to have fun in Munchen on a Wednesday night.

Dont usually suffer hangovers but willing to change that if required smile.gif

Thanks

Yvonne

GM's closed down. Schwabing is dead to me now.

lol it does not have to be in Schwabing,,,, was just saying I lived there ,,,

You could try one of the After Work parties perhaps:
After Work Party List

Cannot comment on the "Jour Fix" in Lenbach on Wednesdays but the 8 Seasons on Tuesdays was great fun (with some friends).
Of course the drinks will be 'club' prices.

Cool... that is one idea.. problem being my German is basic beyond basic and my mate speaks not one word... hmmmmm lol ah well I am sure we can muddle through... most important word for me is flughafen lol
Keydeck
That's your first mistake right there. The most important word you'll need is "Helles".

A few drinks at Bachmaier Hofbräu on Leopoldstr would be a good starter on a Wednesday evening.

NOoooooooooooooo Long Island Iced Tea

Are you a smoker? If you are, or don't mind smoke, then the Green Room would be a good spot to grab a couple of LIITs.

Better take out a mortgage then, besides wheres the fun in going to Munich if you don't have a Mass or 10.
Keydeck
Haha, she's coming from London. I suspect she'll find the prices quite favourable.

If you are talking about not being able to understand the webpage then Google Language Tools is your friend. If you're talking about ordering a drink, flirting and more(?) then it is probably better heading to an expat bar.
Take care of those Long Island Iced Tea's - the measures here are quite generous, speaking from personal experience.

If you want a guaranteed English speaking crowd then Kilian's/Ned Kelly's by the Frauenkirche would be a good bet. I might have missed it but I don't know if you said you were looking for a bar/pub type vibe or something more clubby.

A lively pub is cool with us,, where interaction is the word smile.gif

Then Kilian's would do the trick nicely. Go earlyish, grab a plot and you'll be interacted with to within an inch of your life in no time.

mind you the good start might be the curry night and meet up with the TTers and end up at a cocktail bar, but be warned most of these people have been practicing currys and large amount of cocktails
