Hello,

I'm new to the forum so only just read about these meet-ups.. is it too late to join in? If not I'd be really interested to come along as I have been here 6months but my German is still terrible. My vocabulary is okay but I have never got to grips with the grammar. If it's not too late to come along please let me know! Cheers!

hey chris, i told my colleague iain about it and he said he might give you a ring or might just drop by lunch time to buy some books and ask you all about it smile.gif
ChrisCologne
There are two spots free in the group (anyone from the group reading - Carolin is sort of part time - so she doesn't really count). We are meeting
this Friday at 18:30.

I'll fill one of those places, see you on Friday!

OMG I love your Store!!!

I went last year around July I think and bought a bunch of books! (they are my weakness) and I even remember you, or someone helping out at your store, to be a photographer and wanting to setup a studio there too. Have you done that already???

Anyways, I am sooooo IN to this. I have been here for one year. Tried taking classes at the Volkshochschule and they were complete garbage. I learned more by speaking with my colleagues than there.
My level is still quite basic. I can understand more than I can speak by the mere fact that I recognize the known words and guess the context of the conversation.

So, basic level. Need help in adding more vocabulary and constructing sentences!!
I can do Thursdays at 6:30 and Saturdays too.

Pleaseeeeeeeeeee let us knowww on more details..

P.S. been wanting to go back to your store again. now I have the perfect excuse =)
ChrisCologne
Well - that sounds like a good excuse...:-) Yes - I set up an okish sort of photography studio - if I had money it would be a really good studio. Link to pics - www.rain-and-tea.de

Oh dear this time of the year is so full of days off and things... this Friday isn't worth meeting up either - it is a good opportunity for a loooong weekend.

Next week noses back to the grindstone however...
jason1788
OK Chris, see you next week (9th)
murfc
I will be there Friday as well - see you all then!

I just realised that I don't have your contact details, Chris. So I hope you read this.
Due the phonecall last Friday, I have to go to Sweden. So I will not be able to make it this Friday 15/5 nor the 23/5.
Sorry about that!
Have fun and see you!!

I will not be able to make it this Friday 15/5 nor the 23/5.

Breaks down and cries... bangs head against wall, sobs, wails, moans... (In a tear-filled, stuttering voice) "ok - see you the week after then..."

I don't know how you are going to handle this Chris, but I'm going to be travling again... So next Friday in Köln will be the 27th June, I hope, might be off then as well... It's hard life trying to make people take funny drugs, but someone has got to do it...
Will keep you posted on the 27th.
Have fun without the Swede!

Yeah Chris, what is the German for "prenuptual agreement?"
ChrisCologne
Right... I've replied to everyone per PM - the best thing is for interested parties to come and visit me in my shop so that I can get an idea of how good you are and what you need.

Hi Chris,

I take it that this forum is still alive-n'-kickin'. If that's the case, I would also like to participate. Been in Germany several years, passively I can understand quite a lot, but when it comes to using an active vocab with the correct syntax...ummm...Kein Kommentar!
Markofmot
Hey,

I would be interested in becoming part of this group. I am 18 and just moved here to Cologne about 3 months ago now...Done my introduction course and needing to do a lot more...and fast as I have to do university here. It would be really great if you could help me out. Would it be ok to also come and visit you on the weekend and talk about this opportunity.

Cheers,

Mark
