Schönes-Wochenende train tickets

Please, does anyone know just how many people in total can travel on a Schönes Wochenende ticket ?

The DB website says the following :

"Eltern oder Großeltern bzw. ein Elternteil oder Großelternteil mit beliebig vielen eigenen Kindern bis einschließlich 14 Jahre."

Just how many is "beliebig vielen eigenen Kindern" ? We are planning to travel with 3 adults and 3 kids (me, wife, daughter, my mother and 2 nephews).

Think that is is within the rules ?

as long as the kids are under 14, then you can take as many of your OWN children as you want. regardless if it's 1 or 10! do your nephews look like you in some way? just lie and say they're all yours.

That's fine.
Your OWN children and grandchildren don't count towards the total.

Up to 5 Adults, you should be fine as your mum will be the grandmother of the nephews.

Thanks for the replies. However, when I found out it was going to take over 2.5 hours to get to Nürnberg with DB, I decided to rent a minivan for the weekend instead :-) !

I don't know how you can say that. I loooove the train rides in this country, and so do most kids. Much better than being cooped up in a van, even for an hour or so... No drink/drive problems either, but maybe that just a problem I have
