It's always far too long a gap between Toytown Freising meetups, but now it really is time for another one. So
Tuesday 4 March at
7pm it is.
Sticking with tradition, the venue will be the
Weissbräu Huber, General-von-Nagel-Straße 5. This is just a few yards from the eastern end of the Hauptstrasse and around a ten-minute walk from the train station. They have a good selection of hearty Bavarian food, and beer from the
Hofbrauhaus Freising around the corner.
Please post below if you intend to come so I can reserve a suitable table. See you then!

Count me in, and I think the little lady will come along as well if she gets all of her homework done

Sounds like a good time. I talked to Mark earlier today and I think if I understood correctly that he will also be joining us.

Living in a halfway house between the Landeshauptstadt and the Bischofssitz I might consider this one. I'll let you know when I have a final schedule.

I quite fancy this. It's sometimes good to get out of the city of an evening.

That sounds tempting and it also happens to coincide with my birthday.

Just thought I would bump this thread, by pointing out that we have a table reserved
at seven. The table is reserved under the Toytown name so if anybody is worried that they will show up and not know where to go, you can simply as where the Toytown table is. Also like to point out as usual they will have the famed huber burger which you can order with cheese and bacon.
Anyway I look forward to seeing some new faces on tuesday.

Edit: Thanks STB have changed what's in bold to make it more precise.

The unspeakable agency has re-scheduled Scogs' telephone interview from 3pm, a delightful time of day associated in my mind with a cup of tea and a wake brain, to 7pm, the time of the evening where you are beginning to wind down, throw your Weißbier in a corner and have a big glass of shoes (i.e. brain not quite in active mode). So I will be turning up all on my lonesome unless I change my mind and chicken out. I was seriously shit-faced last time I was in Freising and don't want that happening again without my bodyguard. Iain, I have your cell phone number and will send you an SMS if I am indeed a no show.

Tell him to come after the interview. Although Freising is not the big city, we do have electricity so the pubs can stay open after dark!

I'm going to have to pull out as well, sore throat and ear-ache and that on my birthday!!!

@ A-s-h: Depends on how long the interview takes, doesn't it? Plus 15 mins on the S-Bahn, once he boards it plus 10 mins walk to the Gasthaus = I will probably meet him on my way back.
@ UN: Happy get well soon day.

A grand evening, thanks for organising STB.

Thanks again for organizing, STB. It was nice seeing familiar faces in their natural environment and a few newbies as well. The Krustenbraten was one of the best I've had, very porky. Huber Helles is definitely too thin for my taste but the Weißbier (normal and dark) tastes like more.
Scogs survived the ride home and is doing better. The dentist work is pretty strenuous, he said himself that he should not have turned up.

Great first trip ever to Freising for me, if just a tad cold. Thanks again for having the idea, STB.
The meat was very good and the weissbier extremely, er, good.
Glad to hear that Scogs survived, I was slightly concerned as I ran for my train. Took me 70 minutes to get home, nowhere near a record for me after a TT event.
It was a fun time last night thanks STB for organizing once again it was nice meeting some new people and to see some of the munich crowd again. Hope scogs is doing better and glad to hear he got home in one piece.
