Meet up for fickle 20-somethings

This meet up is open to all English-speakers in Munich aged between 20 and 30 years. Newcomers to the group are always welcome. Join us for drinks, chat, a laugh, and meeting new people.

The date is fixed, as given in the title above. The venue will be decided by vote below.

To join the event, simply post your username and preferred venue. The way it works is that you copy the list of names from the last post in the thread, paste that into your post, and then add your own name and venue vote to the bottom.

You can change your attendance or vote by re-coping and pasting at anytime before Wednesday at 6am. So if you see where democracy is taking the group and don't like it, feel free to change your vote. Hell, group together and form a block to change it to something else. Once the group has decided though, there's no going back. Also, only vote for a venue if you actually plan on showing up. On Wednesday morning, I'll look at the votes, ignore them, and post the executive decision.

Past Venues:
Havana Club: Great place, great Layout for socializing, service is too slow for more than 15 people
X Club: Perfect for a meetup of any size, we'll go again.
Negroni: A nice place for drinks, too small for a large group, also most people sit at tables making standing awkward.
Flaschenbar: Too small for our large group.

Careful TFL, don't let your head get too big or you won't be able to get it into the overhead bins on your flight to Oslo, and then you'd have to check it with your other luggage and it would just be a big mess.

Guys... can this Ysenegger really fit us? The words "cosy" make me nervous. Remember, the goal isn't just to submit "someplace cool"... but rather a place that can fit about 50 people

It's not that bad when don't have a lot of room.
You get people sitting closer to each other and not in separate groups. Its easier to meet people.
Last week's choice was perfect...probably because we had the whole place to ourselves

ok. It looks like Ysenegger is the choice for the evening. I hope it works out. I won't be there... so someone be sure to think of a mini review to add to our main page.

Ysenegger should be well big enough, seeing so far not to many people have signed up...!

Agreed. This is another test. If this venue is also too small, we'll have to take more control (I'll volunteer to scout out suggestions ahead of time)

However, it must be said... the criteria for suggesting a place isn't simply that you like it, or its "cool" or whatnot... it has to be capable of handling a lot of locusts people descending on it suddenly.

It isn't a big deal really, we're all going out to have a good time, and there will be some bumps. Personally I'd rather have the occasional crowded night instead of repetition... so we'll figure out something that works.

We've been to Yseneggers on Tuesday drink nights before, I really wouldn't say it's to small.

It started Meet up for 20-somethings who are on the wagon. Again, since I didn't go, I didn't have any first hand experience... so I'm obviously getting a biased view since people who didn't like the venue are more likely to post.

So far our rate is 11 people sign up, 40 come.

Good call on the reservation though. I actually feel sorta rude when a barrage of English-speaking people end up swarming a tiny bar and end forcing the locals out of the place. Even the bartenders are usually like, "what the fuck?"

Sorry guys; not making this one. Today is an office trip to the Starkbierfest. Whole office is checking out at 15:30 to make a 16:00 reservation. I might be calling it a night quite early this time.
