Housing in the city of Pirmasens

Hello Everybody, I will be moving to Rheinland-Pfalz region of Germany in the fall of '08 and very much looking forward to the move. I would like to rent a room in a private home if this is possible. My first choice is Pirmasens but other locations in the Pfalz area are also wonderful. I am hoping you will be able to give me advice about how to accomplish this along with other housing information. How much rent should I expect in the area... Maybe help with wording on placing an ad ... names of local papers in which to place ads...

Immobilien Scout is a good place to look for apartments/ rooms/ houses offered for rent. I think you can also post what you're looking for but I've never tried that. I'm assuming you already understand some German, since the site is only in German.

Yes, I do speak some German (I am working on improving it now). I can translate the page with Babel Fish translations if I have problems. Thanks for your suggestion, I will go there now. I found Toytown Germany with a response to an inquiry on Facebook so networking on the Net is a good thing.
