Did jml hit the pink shirt back. I always hit people who hit me especially when I am drunk.
Maybe JimL was not all that drunk
I always hated those lights anyway
Timmeh
Only ladies wear pink so it would be well rude to hit a lady.

I can see us organising a special "pink shirt" night out in Haidhausen...I can select from my extensive collection.

I've asked a few females about this one in the past and apparantly there are men that can carry pink shirts and even pink cardigans and get away with it. Not too sure if that includes Australian Bar owners though.
Timmeh
Carrying is fine, It's when you start wearing them that there's problems

yeh man the lights are annoying! at eye level...it's blinding.
anyway I'm not sure what PMS opps... PSM have with jiml? cos i see many of the light bulb are turn off that night.

i was expecting a fight, glad nothing happened. hey jiml, what was he yelling about?

Unless I missed something completly, which I dont think I did, I didnt see anyone get hit, and the only problem at the time was the the OP wouldnt leave when asked.
That said, he had been asked 3+ times NOT to unscrew the lightbulb, and after doing it once more was asked to leave. One of his friends started to get pissy because they were being asked to leave and when the owner said that he had no beef with that individual, but with the OP, the jiml got up in the owners face and was rather livid (and drunk), trying to reach across the bar and get things "sorted out". The owner said that if he DID NOT want to hit the man, but if was touched once more, that he would. Jiml decided he wanted it to go outside, and in just trying to get him to leave, the owner agreed to meet him outside...

OP walks out on his own, nothing further happened.

I was standing right beside the whole time, so I guess if someone got hit I missed it.

I was also told that there had been previous problems with the same customer, but because it had been quite some time, that until saturday night, he was tolerated.

Please leave jml out of this, as you can tell by the profile picture jml is a very peace-loving person.

Every story has different views…..
I didn’t miss it and several people around can confirm as well that Jiml got hit from the man in pink. How ever – we’re talking about unscrewing a light bulb and THIS gives no one from the staffs the right to hit customers…..

Damn it sarabyrd. This thread just lost all it's meaning. I was imagining her silence on the matter being because she was arming herself.

The Aussie bar does a very tasty curry, but the lights over the bar are irritating

Maybe we should get the Outland team to read this other thread

Low Energy Light Bulbs to at least save some money whilst blinding people
Flapdoll
it seems that the contentious issue is "the light bulbs at the bar serving area are at eye level"

Could they be moved higher, or an on/off switch placed between the lamp and ceiling, or just turn them off
PedroB
That’s the point. Instead to focus on customers well being and find a solution for both parties (staff shouldn’t work in darkness and guests shouldn’t get blind) the pink man has his own method to treat a customer. Very fancy…..

Can you say "dimmer switch"?

We're talking about 5 ros here.

Sheesh! What a bunch of drama queens.

I have to say: The Aussies I know are all really easy-going people... I have to wonder what else could have been done to make one punch you... I mean, he could just be a jerk, but...
blowwavedave
I agree (about the Aussie's being generally easy-going), but:

1. He's not aussie, he's english (but not a "jerk")
2. But I think this whole thing is moot as the guy who started this thread at 2am Sunday morning as his first post ever on Toytown, has not replied, or even re-evaluated his story after a good night's sleep etc etc. Joemunich (i think) gave an unbiased witness account that said there was no punch, and (surprise, surprise) it was the customer who was being a massive wanker

Stick a fork in me, i'm done
