Hello,

I found a property to rent in Duesseldorf, near the international school, that is very nice. The renting company is Dornieden Generalbau GmbH, which judging by its website seems to be a pretty big real state developer in the area.

I am a bit shocked at the renting contract as it seems most repair and maintenance expenses are payable by the tenant. I think it is a bit abussive, but maybe it is just normal German renting policy.

Since I know nothing about this company and I have heard so many bad stories regarding renting in Germany (people not getting their deposits back even though they left the property without damage, landlords forcing tenants to repaint every 3 years, etc.), that I was hoping to get some feedback on this company if anyone in the forum has had the opportunity to rent/buy from them. If so, how were you treated?

Many thanks!

Daniel
