Bundesverdienstkreuz am Bande

My boss has been awarded the Bundesverdienstkreuz am Band. From what I can gather this is similar to the UK honours system. Is there any ettiquette that should be observed etc?? We're having a drink later to celebrate and I don't want to make an idiot of myself.

You can look him up on the gongs webpage - the UK-equivalent is being knighted. There shouldn't be any protocoll change for you directly, as for you making an idiot of yourself... your boss has met you right?
