OK, mornings didn't seem to work out for most people, so let's try again in the afternoon...

Calling all English-speaking Moms and Ladies in Frakfurt to get together for coffee and a chat!
Let's try for Tuesday March 4, 2008 at 2pm at Vapiano on Bockenheimer Landstraße.

Again, I'll be there with a red double stroller (with my 2 1/2 year old and 7 months old...I'll bring some markers and paper for drawing).

So far I've heard from 5 ladies who are coming (possibly a few more), plus this was posted on Craig's List, so there may be a few more I don't know about. We'll see!

i really could have done a little more looking before i made my post under "Life in Frankfurt Rhein-Main"!!

I'd definitely like to meet up with you all with my two babies (boy and girl, both under 3)!! BTW, just curious, are fathers also welcome?? My husband is officially in Elternzeit and has the kids most Tuesdays, until June anyway...

In the meantime, I'm also looking for mom or dads with kids under 3 who want to get together for a playgroup (ideally Saturday morning). For more info, please look for the "Toddlers playgroups around Offenbach and Darmstadt" topic under Life in Frankfurt Rhein-Main.

The idea is an informal playgroup organized by parents (rotating locations) where the kids get together for countless diverse play- and learning activities (with the sneaky purpose of giving them motivation to speak English). over the longer term, they'll have playmates who are also "learn-mates" for activities that build and strengthen their English literacy. Again, please see the posts under Life in Frankfurt Rhein-Main, there you can read more details of what the plans and possibilities are (you can reply either here or there--i'll be watching BOTH from now on!)

as i said "over there" i teach children english for income, but the saturday playgroup would be for my own two kids (ages 12 mo. and 2.5 yrs), and therefore is not for profit--parents would only need to pay for the materials and food and other incidentals. I have the play-space and loads of materials already--just need the help with organizing!!

i am located in Dreieich. i realize that english-speaking families are scattered all over, but a few of you MUST be close enough that it could work! i am able and willing to travel to FFM-Mitte, to Darmstadt, to Hanau to Wiesbaden, but the reverse should also be true (Dreieich is directly south of Neu-Isenburg, which is directly south of Sachsenhausen).

We will resume the meetup in September, after everyone returns from their Summer Holidays!

It would be good to meet some English speaking mums at last. I have two boys, one aged 4 years and the other 9 months. We don´t live in Frankfurt but if the meet up is in the early afternoon or morning then we would love to attend if possible. I am British and my husband is German so the boys understand English but of course reply most of the time in German. Many thanks and look forward to hearing about the next meet in September..?
