Earlybirds may not get any worms this Thursday but they may get an eyeful as the moon passes through the Earth’s shadow between 4 am and 5 am. While not quite as spectacular as a solar eclipse, a lunar eclipse is much eerier due to the lurid shade of red our lunar buddy assumes.
Set your alarms and hope that the rain and clouds in the forecast for Wednesday have dispersed by the time this phenomenon begins. The last one in 2001 (iirc) was a traffic stopper!

Couldn't even see the moon here in Stuttgart, I always miss these events because of bad weather!

Remembered to bring camera to upstairs bedroom
Set alarm
Up at 4.15am
Saw rain on the dormer window
Opened window and saw clouds
Did not see moon
Closed window, back to warm bed
Back to sleep remembering the really cool eclipse in 2001

That's about how my morning went, except that at 04.30 while setting the alarm for 07.00, I somehow managed to put my clock forward one hour. I got up at "07.00" and got ready for work, only noticing when I went to leave that it was darker than expected...

Thought about going back to bed for one more hour, but read some Toytown instead,
