Finding shared accommodation in Hamburg

Hi guys

I am coming to Hamburg for 3 months and would like to find some share accommodation rather than rent an apartment, as I will hopefully be working and holidaying, and therefore, not 'home' all the time. If anyone has any advice or can point me in the direction of how to find this, I would be most grateful.

I will certainly check those out. My german language lessons will now come in very handy. Another enquiry...If I have trouble getting accomm before i arrive, can you suggest anywhere cheap to stay as soon as I arrive while I find something else? I need to avoid hostels as I will have a bike with me. I would like to be not too far from the city, maybe near hauptbahnhof?

sorry to take time to reply, have been away. I will be arriving around the 30th June and leaving at end of September. I certainly appreciate your offer, and if it is available when I arrive, I would most likely take it!! However, if you are lookin to rent it sooner, understood.

Thanks for your reply. I guessed it would be too late, but if you hear of anythings else, that'd be great. Do you know much about renting rooms from established companies? I rang a place called Home Company today, they are based in hamburg, and they find accomm for you. The woman told me to apply 4 - 6 weeks out from arriving and they will show me options for what I'm after and I can pick from them. I'm just worried I might get taken for a ride? I know I will have to sign a contract...

One other question - are you associated with Finnegan's wake? I was in the Australian team for world triathlon champs last august and we had our post race party there. Great venue.
